Submitting a Broker of Record (BOR) or Agent of Record (AOR) change request is straightforward and can be done mid-term or at account renewal. For Cover Whale, just follow these steps:
- Complete a broker of record change request form and have the policyholder sign it.
- New Agency Name & Number
- Previous Agency
- All lines of coverage to be moved
- Producer Name
- Effective Date

Once we receive your request, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a status update.
If the policy is close to its renewal date, the renewal quote will be available to you on the Cover Badger platform once the Broker of Record change has been completed.
For Progressive, just follow these steps:
- Complete a Progressive's Agent of record change request form and have the policyholder sign it.
- Named insured EXACTLY as it appears on their current Progressive Declarations
- Current policy #
- Current Agency/Broker Name EXACTLY as it appears on their Progressive Declarations
- Printed name of Named insured or authorized requestor
- signature and date of Named insured or authorized requestor
